Cloud 59, Sur Beach

With its 200 km of coastline and its generally sunny Mediterranean climate, Lebanon is a favored destination for relaxing and swimming. On its 80% of private beaches and its few public beaches, from north to south, Sour beach (Tyr in French) is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful public places in Lebanon to enjoy the sea. Because yes, in Lebanon, The majority of beaches are private, and entry is chargeable. But in southern Lebanon, a little haven of happiness is an exception to the rule, and with flying colors. In Tire (where you will find the corniche on one side, the ancient ruins on the other), few private beaches but rather an enormous sandy beach entirely accessible to the public and shared by numerous taverns, which give this place a very special charm. And within this large beach, there is a straw hut which has been widely talked about for several years. The concept is simple: simple but qualitative beach cuisine, delicious drinks and a boho-compatible atmosphere. I couldn't go to Lebanon without testing this straw hut that everyone has been talking about for years, and which

The Suite Oceana Beach Resort: one of the most famous private beaches in Lebanon

In the jungle of bling-bling and show-off Lebanese beaches, the Oceana acts as a precursor. It is historically one of the first Lebanese beaches popular with partygoers and other Sunday beachgoers. It must be said that this private beach has a lot of arguments to make. She is in fact one of the pioneers of the genre to have imagined a private seaside resort reserved for adults, with restaurants, alcohol, music and so on. Since then, Oceana has been followed by even larger and more impressive beaches (which you will find in this guide). Nevertheless, it remains in the minds of the Lebanese one of the reference beaches, and although its size has been reduced in recent years, the party remains no less crazy. To get there, head to Damour, in the south of Beirut (15 minutes by car), where there are a bunch of beaches, each more impressive than the last: Janna, Utopia, and therefore Oceana. FYI, Damour is a Lebanese coastal town located about 24 km south of Beirut. The city's name is derived from the name of the Phoenician god Damoros who symbolizes eternity (ديمومة in Arabic). It attracts a lot of tourists because it is there that

Head for the most beautiful beaches in the north of Beirut

Lebanese beaches are among the most beautiful tourist destinations in the entire world. Proud of its Mediterranean climate, cradled by temperatures which often exceed 30°C, and its 200 km of coastline, Lebanon is ideal for swimming and relaxing all year round. Between private and public beaches, Beirut is home to the best addresses not to be missed for your next vacation. Focus on the most beautiful beaches in the north to start. The closest beaches to Beirut are in Kaslik/Jounieh, about 15 km to the north. First Koah Beach (ex-Cyan), a former property of Elie Mchantaf, a great Lebanese basketball player from the early 2000s. Then Deece by the sea, a fairly recent address which offers an open-barbecue formula every Sundays, in her pretty Lebanese house on the waterfront. Pebble beaches and clear water all year round, Enfeh is located 68 km north of Beirut. Better known as “little Mykonos”, this beach stands out for its pretty white houses with blue windows perched on the rocks, through which visitors must pass to access the sea. It is also known as “Taht el Rih” due to

Most of them are magnificent private beaches decorated with trendy bars, swimming pools, restaurants where a captivating musical atmosphere reigns throughout the year. Al Jammal, the fine sandy beach of Tire

Today, I invite you to discover the “lazy” side of the city of Tyre. Better known for its (very appreciable) concentration of historical or archaeological monuments and sites, the city of Tire is also famous for the various escape possibilities it offers. Among other things, its magnificent beaches with fine golden sand and turquoise water, ideal for swimming alongside giant turtles. https://www.instagram.com/p/BBKezVoL2-0/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B2_jBk6jgI1/ Located in the south of Lebanon, Tire is a very beautiful city which stands out for its old Christian quarter traditional. A real labyrinth in which it is very easy to get lost, but with great pleasure, between the low houses and the colorful streets. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3SAYG-AYjZ/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs5WB5gAVzE/ From its medieval cathedral to its centuries-old churches, a walk in Tire inevitably leads to the very beautiful Al Jammal beach. This fine sand beach impresses with its turquoise water springs and agricultural land, creating a unique environment of both fresh and salt water. A favorite breeding ground for sea turtles. https://www.instagram.com/p/BLjBWybgOXq/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BKkx69lAgH2/ Al Jammal beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Cedar country. Its crystal clear and transparent water soothes the mind. It is also

Edde Sands, for the pleasure of luxury and well-being

Located in Byblos (Jbeil), here is one of the largest private beaches in Lebanon, I named the Edde Sands & Wellness Resort. It is one of the essential seaside stops when staying in Lebanon, and I had to add it to my famous guide “Lebanon by Libshop”, the summary of which you will find here. The complex, inaugurated in August 2003, covers an area of 100,000 m² including 6 swimming pools, around ten bars and restaurants, a spa as well as a long and beautiful beach of 220 m. The Edde Sands welcomes almost 3,000 visitors on weekends in summer. The place is particularly popular for the splendid panorama it offers over the old town of Byblos. A meeting place for many foreign and local visitors, the setting is ideal for a beautiful sunny day. You can head to Edde Sands for the day to enjoy the beach and food, or book a room for a few days. All rooms at the resort open to a small private balcony with stunning views of the courtyard or the sea. For special events, the property also offers private romantic dinners. At Edde Sands, the atmosphere is family and friendly. In
