The village of Yahchouch is one of the 7 villages that surround Jabal Moussa nature reserve, part of the network of UNESCO biosphere reserves.
Etymologically, the word Yahchouch would come from the Syriac Aramaic and would mean "The wounded god", in reference to the Syriac God Adonis who died in the Ibrahim river which precisely crosses the village of Yahchouch.
By the way, speaking of the Ibrahim River, it can be admired from the Yahchouch Valley, as evidenced by the photos of exceptional beauty.
It is also possible to reach Lac de Chouane from Yahcouch, in order to extend the visit.
