Our new limited edition creation, the Kefta Végétal in pita or bowl format with our partner Redefine Meat, is a great success.
Plant-based meat is made from plant proteins from peas, wheat and soy and we work it in the kitchen with spices and herbs to make Kefta, the famous meatball.
We offer the recipe in Pita format, with garlic cream, raw vegetables and pickles, hummus and homemade potatoes, as well as in bowl format.
As our loyal customers know, our menu has always been predominantly vegetarian, thanks in particular to the culinary diversity provided by Mediterranean mezzes, of which we have become specialists. Hummus, eggplant caviar, falafels, tzatziki, coral lentil soup… Delicious preparations that are also beneficial for the microbiota, and which have the advantage of being rich in vegetable proteins.
Over the years, we have realized how much the cuisine we were defending was a treasure of Mediterranean cuisine, and how good it was on the palate but also for health.
Which has never stopped us from offering fun, regressive and creative products. That's a bit like Libshop, a mix between the ancestral healthy cuisine of the "Blue Zones", the Fast Food culture of the 90s, and the desire to create fun products.
Which brings us to the Vegan Kefta Pita, which reminds us that we can combine ancestral vegetarian recipes like hummus and falafels, with futuristic recipes 🙂
And with this recipe, you'll feel like you're eating a real kefta, except that it will be entirely plant-based, and topped with a delicious sesame cream, fresh herbs, fresh salad and a delicious hummus accompanied by homemade potatoes with Zaatar.
