Perched in the mountains, 30 km east of Tripoli, the nature reserve by Horch Ehden account of majestic cherry trees. Trees that offer generous fleshy fruits to walkers from the first meters of the path. The ascent can be quite long up to the "hairy" oak which marks the entrance to the reserve. On the way, the sun beats down hard, but the air remains light, setting the pace for all hikers.

The Horch Ehden Nature Reserve is home to a exceptional biodiversity, representing 3 of the 9 biogeographic zones of Lebanon. It is a site of national importance where some 1058 species of plants including 39 trees (pine, fir, cedars, etc.) are planted. The reserve also counts 26 species of mammals (mouse, fox, wolfdog, squirrel, etc.), 300 species of mushrooms, 23 species of amphibians (snakes, snakes, etc.) and 156 species of birds (eagle, falcon, pelican, etc.) including 57 are rare.
