Les hommes cr\u00e9tois avaient par exemple un taux exceptionnellement faible de d\u00e9c\u00e8s par maladies cardiovasculaires, malgr\u00e9 une consommation mod\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 forte de mati\u00e8res grasses.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;autres \u00e9tudes apparues dans les ann\u00e9es 70 ont confirm\u00e9 cette tendance, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la\u00a0<em>Lyon Diet Heart Study<\/em>, qui a test\u00e9 pragmatiquement le r\u00e9gime cr\u00e9tois sur des patients cardiaques, <a href=\"http:\/\/circ.ahajournals.org\/content\/103\/13\/1823.full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ce qui a\u00a0conduit \u00e0 une chute spectaculaire (-70 %) de la mortalit\u00e9 toutes causes confondues<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>L&rsquo;impact le plus positif semble \u00eatre une diminution de la mortalit\u00e9 globale, surtout cardio-vasculaire et par cancer (&#8230;)\u00a0due \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des facteurs de risque (..)\u00a0: ob\u00e9sit\u00e9, hypertension art\u00e9rielle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/R%C3%A9gime_m%C3%A9diterran%C3%A9en#Maladies_cardio-vasculaires\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Source : Wikipedia<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Outre les vertus \u00e9nonc\u00e9es ci-dessus, le r\u00e9gime m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en pouvait aider \u00e0 conserver un cerveau en bonne sant\u00e9. Il permettrait de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/337\/bmj.a1344.abstract\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">r\u00e9duire le risque de survenue de maladie d&rsquo;Alzheimer et de maladie de Parkinson d&rsquo;environ un cinqui\u00e8me<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Et les bienfaits ne s&rsquo;arr\u00eatent pas : il favoriserait la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/349\/bmj.g6674\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">long\u00e9vit\u00e9<\/a>,\u00a0favoriserait\u00a0la baisse du taux de mauvais cholest\u00e9rol, faciliterait la r\u00e9ussite d&rsquo;une f\u00e9condation assist\u00e9e, et\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/magazines\/sante\/infos\/actu\/d\/medecine-regime-mediterraneen-permet-garder-forme-29919\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">augmenterait la forme physique<\/a>.
